About Sophie

Hi there!

I'm a 25 year old girl from the fantastic summer city Sandefjord in Norway and currently living in Trondheim with my boyfriend. I'm studying biotechnology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and in my spare time I have a lot of hobbies.

This is my blog on my everyday life. I do the best I can to update the blog, but it hasn't been easy. But this is me, I would like to know you better as well so leave some comments as you flip through.

First of all I really like the idea of making things. You start with all of these different components and end up with a cake, a dress, a jumper or a five course meal. Fun right? But all of this didn't entered my mind before I moved from the small city into the "big" city and was on my own. Then I realized I L-O-V-E food. Food is love, food is passion, food is life. Started to try out new recipes and ingredients, poor Arne who had to eat everything I made..

Then inspiration for baking came in mind when I discovered Manuela from Passion for Baking. Baking all sorts of things from cinnamon rolls, four layered cake, puddings, pies and cupcakes. And of course gaining a few pounds in the process as well, oh well.

Later on I wanted something to do just for relaxing in the winter time, and a friend of mine was started to crocheting so I started myself. But after crocheting slippers for all the family members I got bored and started knitting. And had the idea to knit everyone the 2013 VM jumper because the pattern was so beautiful. I knitted seven jumpers for all the five family members, my boyfriend and my sisters boyfriend. Felt like I mastered that field so what now?

I worked as a volunteer at Studentersamfundet i Trondheim for two years and every semester we still get together for some updates. So a friend of mine told that she started sewing her own clothes. How cool I thought to myself. I never thought I had that much issues with clothes before as I do now. By Hand London saved my wardrobe. So know I sew. I'm Sewphie nice to meet you.
